Liebe Erstsemester, Kommilitonen und Kommilitoninnen,

am Freitag, 09.09.2016 ab 13 Uhr heißt es wieder: Sportsday an der Uni Mannheim! In Kooperation mit Visum und Uni Spirit veranstalten wir unseren ganz eigenen Tag des Sports auf der Mensawiese, den Tennisplätzen im Schlossgarten auf der Alfred-Delp-Sportanlage im Friedrichspark.

Für alle Erstsemester, Wiederkehrende und weitere Studierende soll der Sportsday die Gelegenheit bieten, spielend Kommilitonen kennenzulernen und dabei in unser Sportprogramm hineinzuschnuppern. Zur Auswahl stehen Volleyball, Badminton, Ultimate Frisbee, Boxen, Lacrosse American Football, Fußball, Basketball, Floorball, Beachvolleyball, Power Move und Tennis.Außerdem wird es dieses Jahr als weiteres Highlight ein Bubble Ball-Turnier geben!

Während des Sportsdays habt ihr die Möglichkeit, ohne Wettbewerbsgedanken miteinander zu spielen und Sportarten auszuprobieren, den Übungsleitern und zukünftigen Teammitgliedern direkt Fragen zu stellen und bei Sportpräsentationen zuzuschauen.

Nach einem ereignisreichen Tag könnt ihr euch beim gemeinsamen Open Barbecue stärken und einen Film im Open Air Kino genießen. Diesmal könnt ihr aus zwei Streifen wählen, die beide in der OV gezeigt werden: "The Danish Girl" und "Bridges of Spies". Die Umfrage folgt!

Wir freuen uns auf einen sportlichen Tag mit möglichst vielen Erstsemestern, Rückkehrern und Alteingesessenen.

Hey there, freshmen and fellow students,

on Friday, September 9th, the Institute of Sports, in cooperation with Visum and Uni Spirit, will present the Sportsday 2016 to you! It will take place on the lawn in front of the cafeteria, the sports field at Friedrichspark, and the tennis courts.

The Sportsday is aimed primarily at freshmen to get to know the variety of university sports and their new peers in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Various sports disciplines present themselves, instructors are there to answer questions and visitors are encouraged to participate actively. There will be a wide range of sports activities offered to the students. These include american football, volleyball, badminton, basketball, a bubble-ball tournament, boxing, floorball, soccer, lacrosse, Power Move, tennis, Ultimate Frisbee and beachvolleyball.

On Sportsday, there is no competitive feeling, but a unique atmosphere of fun, games and meeting new people. At the end of the day an open BBQ will take place on the lawn in front of the cafeteria which is organized in cooperation with the initiative UniSpirit. After that, in cooperation with VISUM, we will watch a movie in its original version as an open-air movie theatre on the lawn in front of the cafeteria. Which one it will be you can decide! Cast a vote on either "The Danish Girl" or "Bridges of Spies" in our poll (poll coming soon).
